May 30, 2011
Well, today we are little pressed for computer time because we have no money, so... I have to use a little less time on the internet.

Well, I am slowly getting over my cold.

Yesterday we had a baptism. I do not know much about her because we were not the first to teach her. Really we just baptized her. But we went to her house to get her yesterday morning and she said she wasn’t going to go because she wanted her mom to watch. Well, we talked with her mother and she said she would bring her mom to church later. It was Stake Conference so it started at 10 and ended at noon. Well, I sat in the very back so I could see all the doors. Well, anytime the door opened I would look and wait for her and her mom to enter. After two hours, nothing... The conference ended and we had basically cancelled the baptism when a member comes running up telling us her and her mom are sitting in the hall waiting for us. So we quickly set up a baptism. The font had no water so we filled it up best we could... made baptizing a little different but hey, I worked it out. But she was baptized!!!

Yesterday we finished the baptism and the Bishop quickly rushes everyone out of the room except for some people and he sits Dante in a chair and calls his first counselor and me over and we ordained Dante to the office of Elder!!! So that was awesome!!!! haha A lot happened yesterday!!!

And I totally didn’t mention how crazy Richie’s mission call is!!!!! I was so blown away and thought about it so much that I didn’t even mention how cool that is!!!! I can’t stop thinking about Go Go’s (the Mongolian Grill)!!!! haha

And my package... I can’t think of much else for you to send... oh oh oh!!!! An English version of the conference edition!!!!! But really.... I am just excited for a package!!!!!

I love you all so much and wish you a great week!!!!!

May 16, 2011

This past week, our numbers went up. We did far better. Not what we wanted yet better. We’ll see what happens this coming weekend with transfers. Rumor has it this next transfer is 7 weeks because of the new Mission President coming. But we shall see. I kind of want to stay just because I hate moving. Yet I am starting to get a little tired of the area. So I am not really sure what I want. Everyone gets a little antsy during the last week. I don’t actually think about transfers until the day it happens.

We had interviews with President Batt this past Friday. That went well. It will most likely be my last interview with him. So that was a weird thought.

Let’s see, you want longer letters. hmmm.... so I have some strange stories I haven’t told you yet, all which I guess I could tell. haha you may not want to put it on the blog but hey!!!!

So this one day we were walking down this field and this really big road.  This guy comes sprinting across this road and into the little foresty field thingy. Needless to say we thought it was really weird. So as we are walking we are kind of looking back to see what was happening. When I looked back I say something I never wanted to see!!! So I told my companion, “hey, don’t look back” which is probably the worst thing to tell anyone... because what did he do? He looked back. The man had decided that he could not wait to use a restroom so he saw the little field and told himself that it was a natural restroom. My guess is he never thought every car or every person walking by could see him. It was a rather weird start to our morning. haha.

Well, let’s see. I have been writing in my journal everyday. So mom, that means you better get started.

I wrote Kendra a letter so I just need to send it now. haha

I hope everyone is doing well!!! I hope this was also a much better email. If not just speak up and I will try better next week. Love you All!!!!

Oh, and I forgot to tell you,  I was at a member’s house and they had some old records so I was looking through them and found a Glenn Miller record! So I bought it for 3 bucks. haha. Love you all!!!!

Another messed up computer. I am trying to watch videos on the church website and can’t!!!!! Yes, basically I am dying to have my own computer again. Every week is the same thing, junky computers. Some days you can’t type, other days you can’t watch videos. Every week there seems to be another problem.

Well, this past week was rather interesting. Our numbers were so low it wasn’t even funny. Everything we marked fell. And then finding people this week... good luck.

Nothing has been said yet about calling home this weekend. I assume we will, but I don’t know the details. It would be kinda cool if I could speak with some of my friends for like 1 minute, if that would be ok, or not too hard.

Just write Dante. Just write him normal stuff, too. I think he just wants to talk and stuff. I am pretty sure he is using google translate and stuff. haha He also told me he was talking with you all. Oh, and if you enter into my Facebook don’t accept anyone, wait for me to come home to accept the right people. haha

That is rather interesting about Kiki. What did she like, graduate with? Why is she going to Washington D.C.? What is she wanting to do?

And Richie on a mission?!? weird!!!

Well, I thought of what you all can send in the next package!!! Some jelly!!! Smuckers jelly!!! I am dying for some jelly!

This will be dad’s last Ward conference as Bishop?  Really, I thought dad would still be Bishop when I get home. hmmm, weird! It is weird how much time has passed since he first got put in the Bishopric.

I love you all!!!

Keep my horn clean!!!!

April 25, 2011   (All we could do was laugh…)
From Mike to Jordan:  You still there? You sent us this report? It looks like your weekly report or something? Did you send your weekly e-mail to the Pres?
Jordan’s response: Ya. srory. THis computer isn´t working. again. it is just dotni what ever i twants .
E-Mail from Jordan:
When you were in the hospital this last time did you get a blood transfusion or just fluid IV? Just IV´s.
Do you have enough bug spray? I don’t need more bug spray.
Are you still senior companion after this last transfer? I am still senior.
Are you back to working full time? And yes; however, I am very tired.
Are you going to be able to call your mother in a few weeks for mother’s day? As far as I know I will be able to call home.

Well, we as four missionaries decided next week we will be using a different place for internet. Until now it has taken about 5 minutes just to type this.

Well, we had another baptism this past week. I am feeling much better just very, very tired.  I have been doing a lot of reading and my comp and I have decided to read the New Testament before the end of the transfer so that should be fun.

I am super excited about Mike entering the MTC.

It sound like you guys had quite a busy week.

I will for sure send tcuirpe next week when I have a useable computer.

riooussly I am super sorry. This place is rediculous.

Next will be better.

I love you all!!!

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXThis is a Facebook contact we made with a young man that Jordan was able to teach and Baptize this last month. He was Ordained an Elder after 1 week and is now one of the ward clerks

Hi, I'm Elder Wahl's mom from here in the United States. I hear that you have been recently baptized. That's wonderful..Just wanted to see how things are in Brazil.

April 27, 2011
Hello .. is a pleasure speaking with you.

I was baptized recently ... Elder and Wahl was the missionary who taught me. We find ourselves almost every day. We became great friends.

I want to congratulate for your child you have. Elder Wahl is a great person. A great servant of God. Congratulations.
Today he is fine ... a short time ago he got a little sick. A slimmed slimmed down a bit. But today he is very good. You can stay quiet. I'll take good care of him. Hehe

Maybe on 22 May he be transferred to my ward. I'm a little sad. But happy ... for him to go help other people as he helped me.

He talks a lot about you ... Logan, Mr. Michael and your adventures with the ducks. Hehe

I hope all is well with you. I know that nostalgia is great. But what he is doing for our Heavenly Father is immeasurable.

A hug.
- Dante.

Logan, about the Facebook friend request from Dante Baiardo Viana…Accept it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We baptized him a few weeks ago!!!!! He is my best friend!! Seriously I can’t even tell you. He wants to talk to you guys, I think. He is going to go on his mission in a year. He was called to be the ward secretary yesterday, it just isn’t official yet. And next Sunday he will be ordained an Elder!!!! And I will get to be in the circle!! Seriously, he is one of the greatest people I have ever met!!!! I think you and dad both got invites as well!!! haha. Seriously he is amazing. He got baptized and stuff and then his family and some friends told him he had changed and stuff and they weren’t sure they liked it. And it was pretty hard for him for a little while, but he is doing better now! I think I already sent pictures from his baptism to you all!!!!

We had another baptism this last week, which was really good!!!
I am doing much better. Just getting over the little cold I had after my other fantastic sickness. haha. But I am doing much and much better every day.

Oh, and I got the package with everything and stuff. Thank you so much!!!!!! I am already reading the books like crazy! And I already used the little Plano de Salvaçâo. The candy is already gone. Most everyone has seen the new pictures!!! haha. Thank the Welch’s for the package they sent as well!!!

It has been raining a lot here just like there in Oregon.

Dad having to get rid of the skunk at Sister Hancock’s house.... haha..
Great, another fantastic computer…It just stopped working on me so luckily I saved this before I had to restart.
I hope everything is continuing to go well! I love you all and wish you a fantastic week.

April 11, 2011

Well, I am doing very well. Today was transfers. I’m in the same area but now I’m with Elder Baptista; however, President Batt has placed two more Elders in our house and we are sharing the area. I have a feeling this transfer will be tough but good. We should have a number of baptisms.

My health is doing great. Next week I will have pictures and a story for you about my eating!!! haha

I am super excited to hear about Logan’s trip to Reno!!!

And, please give the Bogg’s family my condolences.

Thanks for the examples you mentioned about procedures at Church. I read the original talk about the unwritten order of things in the Church and stuff and just wondered what you knew. haha.

Still no package as of today so we’ll hope again for next week…

Sorry this email is so short. My time is limited today and my keyboard isn’t working. This whole thing took me about 15-20 minutes to type!!!

I love you all!! Have a great week!!!!!
